Marcus Mariota completed 17-of-24 passes for 284 yards with three touchdowns and one interception while rushing seven times for 64 yards Sunday in the Titans’ Week 6 win over the Browns.

He was sacked twice for a loss of 14 yards. Mariota set the tone by gaining 41 yards on a designed run on the Titans’ first play from scrimmage. He extended the drive by hitting Kendall Wright for a 26-yard pickup on third-and-15. Mariota finished what he started by finding Rishard Matthews for a touchdown on third-and-goal. Mariota challenged the Browns’ beat-up secondary by hurling plenty of deep balls, including a 48-yard touchdown to Wright early in the second quarter. The Browns made things interesting by mounting a late comeback but for Mariota and the Titans were in complete control for most of the afternoon. Tennessee’s receiving corps is still one of the league’s worst but Mariota has done well to limit his mistakes and is starting to become the dangerous dual threat we all thought he would be coming out of Oregon. Mariota will try to lead Tennessee to its third straight win next week against the Colts. Oct 16 – 6:38 PM
